Business process management (BPM) is a management approach focused on aligning all aspects of an organization with the wants and needs of clients. It promotes business effectiveness and efficiency while striving for innovation, flexibility, and integration with technology. Business process management attempts to improve processes continuously. It could therefore be described as a "process optimization” process.
Process change is driven by strategy, goals and objectives. There is a reason behind each change and the change must be meticulously managed. Prism Plus Consulting will work with the customer to identify the metrics to be measured before and after the transition. The metrics will be used to identify the areas that will benefit most from a change and also provide the baseline for improvement analysis.
We work closely with the client to ensure the internal team understands the why, how and when of each stage of the change. We drive acceptance of change by utilizing thorough communications and the documentation of the “As-Is” to the “To-Be”. This provides the ground work to manage the transition. We develop and provide the transition path to ensure the direction is clear to the entire team. The plan will ensure the continuity and blending of current processes and tools as the transition occurs.
To best facilitate change we offer training, development of user documentation, support during and after implementation and an overall wellness check to ensure the client is operating to the new process in a normal mode.
Some past successes include:
- Consignment Inventory – reducing inventory levels from two weeks to two days.
- Establishment of IT processes to align with Title 21 Code of Federal Regulations Part 820.
- Corrective and Preventative Action process re-design. The new process was closed-loop. It improved the CAPA effectiveness by reducing open CAPA items by 90% and no issues were found during the ISO 13485 audit.
